Marriage and reconciliation (Turkish) · Personal dua and verse work (Turkish) · Spiritual consultation (Turkish)
After a breakup or a painful argument, many people search for a way to bring a loved one back. Some search for a “love spell” or a “reconciliation spell”. Islam takes the longing behind those searches seriously and answers it with something else: dua, reconciliation and trust that hearts are in the hand of Allah. This page brings together the verses and duas for love and marriage, with references, and explains how a personal dua plan works.

Love and mercy are a sign of Allah
“And of His signs is that He created for you from yourselves mates that you may find tranquility in them; and He placed between you affection and mercy. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.” (Qur’an 30:21, Sahih International)
Affection (mawadda) and mercy (rahma) are, according to this verse, something Allah places between two people. Whoever wants that affection back turns to the One who gives it.
Hearts are brought together by Allah
“And brought together their hearts. If you had spent all that is in the earth, you could not have brought their hearts together; but Allāh brought them together. Indeed, He is Exalted in Might and Wise.” (Qur’an 8:63, Sahih International)
The verse speaks of the believers of Madinah, but its lesson is general: hearts cannot be bought or forced. That is why dua comes first.
Why not a love spell?
The Prophet ﷺ listed sorcery among the seven destructive sins (Sahih al-Bukhari 2766). In Sunan Abi Dawud 3883, ʿAbdullah ibn Masʿud reports that he said spells, charms and tiwala are polytheism – and tiwala is exactly what is now called a love spell: something used to bind a husband or wife through magic. The Qur’an describes magic “by which they cause separation between a man and his wife” (2:102); trying to force love by the same means leaves the Islamic path. Love that Allah places is the love worth asking for.
Reconciliation is a Qur’anic command
“And if you fear dissension between the two, send an arbitrator from his people and an arbitrator from her people. If they both desire reconciliation, Allāh will cause it between them. Indeed, Allāh is ever Knowing and Aware.” (Qur’an 4:35, Sahih International)
And Surah an-Nisa 4:128 says simply: “settlement is best.” Reconciliation is not only allowed; it is encouraged. Verse 4:35 joins human effort – an arbitrator from each family – with Allah’s action: “Allāh will cause it between them.”
Duas for lost love and marriage
Allah is near
“And when My servants ask you, [O Muḥammad], concerning Me – indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.” (Qur’an 2:186, Sahih International)
The dua of Surah al-Furqan
“And those who say, “Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us a leader [i.e., example] for the righteous.”” (Qur’an 25:74, Sahih International)
Praying for the one who is absent
The Prophet ﷺ said that when a Muslim supplicates for his brother in his absence, an angel says, “And the same for you” (Sahih Muslim 2732). Praying for your spouse or the person you love while they are far from you follows this teaching.
Your own words
Dua does not need a fixed formula. After each of the five prayers and in the quiet of the night, ask Allah in your own language for peace in your marriage, for softness in both hearts and for what is best for you.
Practical steps alongside dua
- Keep the five daily prayers and make dua after each one.
- Seek a calm conversation – if possible through a family member, as in 4:35.
- If you feel the evil eye or sihr is involved, recite Surahs 112–114 every night (Sahih al-Bukhari 5017) and see Evil eye protection dua and Signs of black magic.
